Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Hold a PhD degree awarded within the last 4 years (or be near completion)

  • Be early-career researchers aiming for independence

  • Propose a project aligned with KAUST’s priority research areas (Health & Wellness, Energy, Environment, Future Economies)

  • Secure a KAUST faculty host (PI) before applying

  • Be willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia and work full-time at KAUST

  • Applications open July 1 and close January 15 each year

  • Applicants must apply via the official portal hosted on PlutoEdu

  • Required documents: CV, top 2 publications, research proposal, reference letters, transcripts, Host PI support letter, and personal statement
